Roller Conveyor Blast Machines
Wheelabrator offers a range of roller conveyors from small simple machines to construction blasters, and heavy duty machines and complete preservation lines. Wheelabrator’s extensive experience in this field caters for all component sizes as well as customer specific solutions. Working speeds from 0.5 m/min for a small roller conveyor machine to 200m/min for a heavy skew roll machine. For the specific treatment of large quantities of scale to chip separation systems for structural steel companies, Wheelabrator has a complete range.

G Type
The Type G range is mainly designed for the treatment of metal plates or profiles in the steel construction or steel preparation industries.
The machines can be delivered as standalone units or integrated into an automatic transportation or sawmill/ bore line.
The Type G range is delivered with through feed widths from 600mm to 3000mm.

HD Type
The HD roller conveyor range demonstrates the highest performance variants for blasting sheet metal and profiles. The main difference of this machine to others offered in the marketplace is the angled arrangement of the shot blast wheels on the top of the machine, which blast the work piece between 5 and 20% quicker than a roller conveyor installed with straight blast wheels. This arrangement reduces the build up of abrasive on the sections of longer profiles. By using this method a significantly larger percentage of the blasting energy is used on the main task, i.e. de-rusting and scale removal from sheet metal and profiles.

Type X
Construction Shot Blaster roller conveyors differentiate themselves from the Type G and Heavy Duty roller conveyors, by the shot blast wheels being installed at an angle to the direction of movement through the machine.
The angled positioning of the shot blast wheels ensures that the blasting operation is perfect, especially on parts such as welded constructions, flame cut parts or other complex formed prefabricated parts with base ends.

S Type
The S Type Roller Conveyor is a very heavy duty roller conveyor, designed for steel mill and ship building applications. The machine is specially designed for cleaning steel/stainless steel plates. The thickness of the plates to be treated ranges from 6 to 300 mm and the weight per linear meter can easily go up to 5 tonnes. The modular roller conveyor design ensures Wheelabrator can easily adjust the conveyor according to the customer needs.

V Type
Vertical roller conveyor shot blast machines are an excellent alternative to “G” and “HD” roller conveyors, for companies that are unable to create deep foundation pits. The slim design of these machines means they usually only need a small pit for the bucket elevator, the remaining elements are above ± 0.
On top of this advantage the vertical machines have the same angled arrangement of the blast wheels for blasting plates as the very heavy “S” type. This means the same distance from the blast wheels on both sides which achieves a fast and uniform blast result. As “gravity helps” to avoid the build up of abrasive, 100% of the blast energy is used for cleaning the plates. This also means that no brush/blow process is required, all of which means: vertical machines are pit saving, space saving, energy saving and therefore cost saving.
If vertical handling of the plates is problematic the vertical machines can be equipped with tilting tables that swivel the plates from horizontal to an 80° inclined position at the in-feed and then rotate back to horizontal at the out-feed.
Vertical machines are available for plates of 3m and 4 m width and for plate thickness from 6 – 300 mm.

Skew Roll
Skew Roll Machines, also known as inclined v-shape rollers or diabolo machines, are designed to clean gas bottle, pipe or any other long and round material. The V shaped conveyor not only keeps round parts in place but also rotates them whilst conveying them through the blasting chamber.
