A brief history of the company:
- Berger was founded in 1873 in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, as a manufacturer of raw and machine castings for the foundry industries.
- During the 1930’s, Berger licensed the rights to build shot blast machines from The American Foundry Equipment (Wheelabrator) company.
- In 1978, Wheelabrator purchased Berger and the name changed to Wheelabrator Berger Maschinenfabriken GmbH.
- In 1994, Wheelabrator Berger purchased Bruck, a German company who manufactured shot blasting equipment. Bruck was well known for its strong product range of large machines for the foundry industry and shot peening machines for the automobile industry.
