Wheelabrator Automated Airblast Peening Systems are designed to suit the heavy duty requirements of the Mining industry.
The peening system for mining bits is ideally suited for processing a variety of DTH (Down-The-Hole) mining bits requiring peening along ID and OD areas.
Wheelabrator is aware of potentially large volumes of parts in the mining industry, especially when processing smaller bits. Keeping this and versatility of parts in mind, we have designed a peening system that is capable of peening large and small mining bits in the same cabinet. In plants where compressed air is not a major concern, both operations can be carried out simultaneously.
OD (shank) areas of large sized DTH bits and the main bore are typically processed by independent nozzles mounted on the same nozzle manipulator. ID areas of smaller bits are peened using a dedicated set of blast nozzles to provide greater equipment flexibility.
All moving parts of the nozzle manipulators are located outside the blast cabinet for easy access, maintenance and serviceability.
Wheelabrator’s intuitive and ‘easy to use’ controls ensure process repeatability and consistency of results.
The Wheelabrator Automated Airblast Peening Machine for mining bits is completely tested and proven out at our manufacturing facility to ensure a ‘plug-and-play’ system when it arrives at your plant.
