The peening system for aircraft engine components is designed to process a wide variety of parts including single and multi-stage fan disks, compressor disks and blisks.
Parts are processed on a batch style, door mounted rotary table that completely swings out to facilitate easy loading and unloading. The cabinet design offers an innovative, aircraft style pneumatic profile seal to prevent media leakage and reduce source noise.
A multi-axis nozzle manipulator, complete with servo-based controls ensures that the nozzle(s) follows the profile of the part being processed. Path programming is easily carried out even by a novice operator, given the simple yet powerful graphic operator interface.
Wheelabrator’s intuitive and ‘easy to use’ controls ensure process repeatability and consistency of results.
