Wheelabrator Automated Inline Peening Systems are designed for heavy duty conditions as commonly seen in the automotive and related industries.

The Inline Peening System for Forks takes into account the requirement for a robust design to convey the heavy component and also properly expose the required areas to blast nozzles.

Forks are conveyed along their axis through blast cabinet with a work opening to match the fork shape. Strategically placed blast nozzles peen the areas requiring peening. Typically, this includes the heel (on the fork elbow) and the mounting clips on the back of the fork.

With multiple installations of this design in the forklift truck industry, Wheelabrator fully understands the importance of proper coverage in the required areas. The blast nozzle peening the heel area is mounted on a carriage that has a tilt motion in order to spread the blast steam evenly.

Part conveyor for the forks incorporates multiple strands of endless chains driven by a common motor.
