Wheelabrator Vibro offers a comprehensive range of vibratory finishing media available in different compositions, sizes and shapes
As the choice of vibratory media plays a vital role in achieving the right results it is important to know which media is suited for which types of application. Ceramic media for example, can be used for various processes from heavy grinding to fine polishing whereas plastic media is typically used for more gentle surface finishing and non-ferrous materials such as die castings. Media shape can be critical in the success of your application as different shaped media in the same composition and size will bear completely different results.
Vibratory Finishing Compounds
Furthermore, the use of the correct compound enables other process requirements to be conducted such as degreasing, brightening, polishing and will also ensure component inhibition against corrosion during and post process.
Wheelabrator Vibro offers various types of vibratory compounds: liquid, powder and paste. Liquid compounds are the more commonly used in vibratory mass finishing applications, however processes demanding stringent finishing applications can often find success with powder or paste compounds. All compounds can be added manually or automatically using automated pumps or feeders.
A line of recyclable compounds are also available when using a centrifuge wastewater system which allows your liquid compounds to be reused time and again.
