What is the best part of your role?
The most interesting aspect of my role is the contrasting enquiries I receive on a daily basis from customers across a broad spectrum of industry. These include (but are by no means limited to) aerospace, motorsport and architecture. The work therefore requires an ability to understand (from a technical perspective) what the customer is seeking to achieve and deliver exceptional results time after time. This can only be achieved with a great team with vast technical experience.
What makes Wheelabrator Impact Finishers stand out in driving results for customers?
We have an incredible team of technical experts with years of experience tackling the most complex shot peening applications. Additionally, we’re now NADCAP-accredited at two locations, in the UK and France. This enables us to process a larger number of critical aerospace parts faster.
What do you value most about the relationships with our customers?
Customer loyalty is not easily achieved – it’s the result of many years of outstanding service which means always going above and beyond the call of duty. Customer relationships must be nurtured. Even though shot peening is an inherently niche business, customers will only stick with you, if you deliver uncompromising technical performance, quality, fast response times and transparency in communication.
What’s your most memorable customer moment?
Too many to mention! Working with aerospace customers inevitably gets you involved in some pretty cool projects.
If you could have a superpower to do your job better, what would it be and why?
If I had a superpower to do my job better, it would be the ability to instantly understand every customer’s pain points and technical needs the moment I interact with them — I suppose it would be a sort of ‘technical empathy’ telepathy. In the aerospace industry, and especially in specialized services like shot peening, customers often have highly specific, mission-critical requirements, and being able to immediately align our capabilities with their needs accelerates trust, shortens cycles, and ensures we offer exactly the right solution.
What do you do to relax outside of work?
