The huge difference we can make to customers through really cost-effective tweaks to their existing machine. That sigh of relief and amazement when a customer realizes they don’t need a new machine or a huge disruption to their production to transform their blast process. Blast wheel upgrades are a good example – they deliver superfast ROI and a complete stepchange in performance.
What makes Wheelabrator stand out in driving results for customers?
Decades of experience from a huge installed base, close co-operation with our customers and, through our test center, the ability to prove and fine-tune any customer shot blast process. Our technology center Wheel here in Germany, which is home to the test center, is relentlessly focused on innovation. And on getting that innovation into customer machines fast, so it makes a real difference to production.
What do you value most about the relationships/partnerships with our customers?
The long-standing, personal relationships with our key customers. They can easily span decades. It’s rewarding to grow with our customers, help them through challenges and opportunities over the years.
What’s your most memorable customer moment?
An initially alarming complaint from a very good customer. We resolved it and now have an even deeper, stronger relationship. Sometimes, trust is built when things go wrong and you show you’re committed to making it right.
If you could have a superpower to do your job better, what would it be and why?
To expand time, so I can double my working day and personally help more customers. My goal is to always spend as much of my time as I possibly can in our customers’ worlds.
What is your favourite hobby to enjoy during your free time outside of work?
I like spending time with my family and meeting with friends. I also like being active, so my hobbies are an ever expanding number of sports.
