RAUCH Landmaschinenfabrik GmbH is an internationally renowned manufacturer of fertilizer spreaders, seed drills, and winter spreaders. Challenge

Workpieces are shot-blasted before coating and must be completely free of oil and grease to ensure perfect coating adherence. During normal operation, RAUCH's operating mix showed high levels of oil and grease contamination – despite the use of an additive. The water droplet test resulted in flow times of approximately 4 minutes (normally < 20 seconds). The quantities of additive required were high and costly, which is why RAUCH decided to try Ervin's new product, AMAPURE.

 

Solution

In a shot blast machine with twelve blast wheels, daily tests were conducted over several weeks directly comparing Amapure and a competitor's product. Contamination levels were documented using a water droplet test.

Result

With the same dosage, Amapure achieved 50% better cleaning performance. This reduced operating costs and environmental impact (waste disposal).
