What is the best part of your role?

I believe the most interesting aspects of my role entail the variety of enquiries I receive from customers across a broad spectrum of industry. Enquiries range from aerospace customers to motorsport and architecture to name a few. The role therefore requires resilience and the ability to understand (from a technical perspective) what the customer is striving to achieve and delivering exceptional results time after time. And this can only be achieved with a great Team with vast experience in the business.         

What makes Wheelabrator stand out in driving results for foundries?

This is not applicable to Impact Finishers as our focus and core competency is special services / shot peening – not foundry. 

What do you value most about the relationships/partnerships with our customers?

From a business perspective, what I value the most is customer loyalty and nurturing relationships over the years as shot peening is inherently niche business. This is achieved via a number of factors to include but not limited to performance, quality, response time and transparency in the business approach. 

What’s your most memorable customer moment?

Too many to mention over the innumerable years in the aerospace business!

If you could have a superpower to do your job better, what would it be and why?


If I had a superpower to do my job better, it would be the ability to instantly understand every customer’s pain points and technical needs the moment I interact with them — I suppose it would be a sort of ‘technical empathy’ telepathy. In the aerospace industry, and especially in specialized services like shot peening, customers often have highly specific, mission-critical requirements, and being able to immediately align our capabilities with their needs would accelerate trust, shorten cycles, and ensure we offer exactly the right solution. This superpower would help me connect more deeply, offer value-added benefits, and position our company as not just a specialist subcontractor but a true strategic partner.

What is your favourite hobby to enjoy during your free time outside of work?

Getting away on my motorcycle and hitting the open road!
